WARMINSTER, Pa., Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Arbutus Biopharma Corporation (Nasdaq: ABUS) (“Arbutus” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on infectious disease, today announced the commencement of a modified “Dutch Auction” tender offer to purchase for cancellation up to US$230 million in value of its common shares (the “Shares”) at a price of not less than US$5.00 and not more than US $5.75 per Share, less any applicable withholding taxes and without interest, on the terms and subject to the conditions described in the offer to purchase and accompanying issuer bid circular, dated August 24, 2026 (the “Offer to Purchase and Bid Circular”), the Letter of Transmittal (the “Letter of Transmittal”) and Notice of Guaranteed Delivery (the “Notice of Guaranteed Delivery”) (which together, as they may be amended and supplemented from time to time, constitute the “Offer”).
